    Remarks:
The sculpture was placed as a tribute to the artist. The late Robert Lancaster was head of the Southwestern University Art Department and was a member of the Georgetown Housing Authority Board. He helped design the Stonehaven project. After his death, the sculpture was donated by his wife and daughter, Mrs. Wanda Lancaster and Laura. It was moved from the artist's home to its current location in 1975. The memorial was financed through gifts from the community. IAS files contain related articles from The Williamson County Sun (Georgetown, TX), Nov. 13, 1975, pg. 15; and Jan. 15, 1978, Sect. 1, pg. 11. IAS files also contain a copy of an unidentified Sept. 1975 newspaper article, which discusses plans for the memorial.
Nearby plaque reads: THE PEG/Robert L. (Bob) Lancaster/(1924-1974)/Stonehaven Designer and/Housing Authority Board Member.
