Inscription:  (Front, lower right:) VIKTOR/SCHRECKENGOST/1954 signed Description:  Figure of a man on his knees with both hands around a small tree as he puts it in the ground. In the background the sun is coming up over the horizon, apple trees dot the landscape, and there are birds and clouds in the sky. He is dressed in a long-sleeved shirt and pants. A yellow bag is slung across his chest and rests on his proper left hip. A red book rests on the ground next to his proper right knee. The sculpture is lit from below by five lights spaced evenly across the entrance roof.
