    Remarks: 
    The memorial to Jean Jules Jusserand, the ambassador from France from 1903 to 1922, was the first such monument to be erected to a foreign diplomat on federal property. The memorial was erected at a cost of $5,461, under an act of Congress approved on June 7, 1935.
