Description:
Fountain with centerpiece of pink marble set in a basin of stucco-covered brick topped with pink marble ledge. Centerpiece consists of a small, circular basin atop a rounded column atop a larger circular basin. The larger basin is supported by a squared, footed pedestal.

Sarah Ann Jackson was music teacher at the college in the 1880's. Mercer University - University College was formerly known as Tift College. IAS files contain excerpt from "Tift College History" which includes illustration of the fountain's dedication.
