    Description: 
    An arrangement of seven abstract bird-like or wing-like forms supported by thin metal rods impaled in a rectangular stone base. Sculpture is set against a black glass wall which optically masks the black support rods, causing the birds to appear airborne. Birds are colored turquoise; base is shaded turquoise to black.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture dedicated to Elizabeth Hume (1912-1984), landscape architect of Perrysburg, Ohio. In 1959 Hume landscaped the Way Public Library; her 1983 renovation created the site for the sculpture which now commemorates her. Funds for the work were donated by friends of Ms. Hume. IAS files contain transcription from associated plaque.
