Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 ft.; Base: approx. 5.5 x 2 x 2 ft. Inscription:  (On urn:) Hariett/Sims/Hotchkiss (On front of base:) SACRED/to the memory of/HARIETT SIMS,/daughter of THOMAS P. & NANCY HOTCHKISS/born at Shreveport/February 11th, 1846/died October 3d, 1856./Are they not all ministering/spirits, sent forth to minister for/them who shall be heirs of Salvation/HEB. I. XIV./For I say unto you, that in heaven/their angels do always behold/the face of my Father which is/in heaven.../MATT. XVIII.X unsigned Description:  Full-length marble figure of a girl kneeling in prayer. She wears long robes, her head is covered with a draped scarf. She kneels on her proper right knee, her hands are clasped in prayer. She gazes upward. To her proper right is a covered urn. The sculpture sits atop a tall, square marble pedestal.
