    Commissioned by Martha "Mimi" Gunter in memory of her husband Glenn Edward Gunter (1943-1974), an architect and alumnus of the University, and funded through the University of Hawaii Foundation. At time of creation of sculpture, artist was professor at the University. IAS files include a related article from the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and Advertiser, June 20, 1982.
