    The sculpture is a gray elephant. The elephant's trunk curls in such a way as to provide a step for children to mount the sculpture.

    Remarks: 
    The SOS survey reported that as of 1993, the bronze plaque had not yet been installed. Plaque is to read: IN MEMORY OF/ANSONIA M. GRAVES/1939-1988/LOVING CAREGIVER FRIEND COLLEAGUE/ELEPHANT BY MARGARET LEVY. Commissioned in Nov. 1988 by Esther Cristol, Director of the Nursery, and by the parents of children who attend the nursery. The cost of the mold and casting of piece was 3,500 dollars.
