    Description: 
    Figure grouping of two women, one seated and one kneeling. The seated figure wears long robes and a head covering. She holds a book in her proper left hand. The book is propped on her proper left leg. Her proper right arm is placed around the other figure who kneels by her side on the proper right. The kneeling figure has her face buried on the proper right knee of the seated figure. The kneeling figure wears classical garb. The granite sculpture sits atop a multi-tiered stone base.
