    Description:
A large stele with a female figure representing Peace in high relief on one side and inscriptions on the other. The figure wears long robes and has a shawl draped over her head. Her hands are crossed over her chest and her head is tilted down. A stem with three lilies rests in the crook of her proper right arm and her proper right hand is placed over her heart. Her proper left hand holds the stem of the lily. Her feet are bare. The top of the stele slopes like that of a Greek tomb and there are decorations at the top which were copied from the entablature of the Parthenon. There is a foundation of Tennessee gray granite upon which rests two funeral urns which were copied from two in the Vatican Museum.
