Description:
Ornamental cast iron fountain with three tiers stands in the center of an octagonal concrete fountain basin. Water shoots out of a sculptural bouquet of flowers rising from the basin of the top tier. The center column between the second and third tiered basins features three long-necked birds with their heads tucked into their chests. The center column under the third tier basin features three standing herons with outspread wings and heads tilted skyward. Fountain spigots emerge from the heron's beaks. The herons stand on lily pads. There are four frogs on the lily pads. The tiered fountain basins are decorated with a leaf pattern.

Remarks:
The fountain was donated to the village by George Duffee in memory of his brother, John Duffy. The fountain was partially restored in July 1984 and was completely restored in 1992. Restoration work included installation of lighting inside each dish, and dismantling, repairing and repainting the fountain. IAS files contain transcription of related article from Ft. Plain Standard, July 15, 1915.
