In memory of Miss Katherine Dempsey who was principal of the old Wood school for many years. Text on nearby plaque reads: The Goose Girl/by Ida McClelland Stout/Sculptor/Sep. 1916. Work was originally located at front entrance to school; has since been moved indoors.
