    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a Minute Man soldier. He wears civilian clothes of the Revolutionary War era including shoes, leggings, pants, jacket, shirt and cap. He has long hair pulled back in a ponytail. He holds a musket in his hands; his proper right hand on the gun's trigger and his proper left hand holding the barrel upright. He carries a powderhorn on a strap slung over his proper left shoulder. A tree stump is directly behind his proper left leg. The granite sculpture stands atop a polished dark granite base ending in two lower steps.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was installed by the Else Cilley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The sculpture was a memorial to four generals who had lived at the town square: Joseph Cilley, Thomas Bartlett, Henry Dearborn and Henry Butler. Cost of the sculpture was $1638; $100 was appropriated by the D.A.R. chapter and the remainder was raised through member solicitation.
