Ed and Faye Davison were pioneering members of the Wichita Art Colony and major patrons and financial backers of the Wichita Art Association (Wichita Center for the Arts). Faye Davison was an accomplished pianist and silversmith. Ed Davison was a banker, painter and founding member of the Wichita Art Association and its first secretary-treasurer. The Davison home became a stopover for artists on their way to and from Taos. For further information on the Davisons, see "Taos Artists and Their Patrons, 1898-1950," Snite Museum of Art, Indiana University of Notre Dame, 1999.
The Davison grave marker was cleaned March 29, 1999 and placed upright on a new granite base. IAS files contain related article from The Wichita Eagle, April 13, 1999.
