    Seated atop a tall square gravestone is a figure of a woman holding a book in her lap and looking up at the heavens. She wears a cross around her neck and a cape around her soldiers.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture marks the grave of Hannah Chapman, March 7, 1801-Sept. 22, 1827, mother of Josephine Chapman Dumont. Josephine was the wife of Dr. John T. Dumont who willed funding to the cemetery. The grave site once included bronze dogs that have been stolen.
