    Remarks:
Captain John Brady came to the Muncy frontier in 1776. He worked as a surveyor. He fought in the French & Indian Wars in western Pennsylvania and turned his home into Fort Brady in Muncy. Tradition reports that he was ambushed and killed by Indians; however, research indicates he may have been a British sympathizer and met foul play from other local residents. The idea for the memorial is credited to Edward Ireland.
