Remarks:
Sculpture honors stone carver Louis Baker and marks his grave. Baker died suddenly at the age of 23 on August 29, 1917. Sculpture was carved by Marion Taylor and Baker's fellow stone cutters. It features an exact reproduction of his work bench, known as a "banker," complete with his tools as they laid when he died. Baker was working on part of a building cornice.
