Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 57 x 28 x 18 in.; Base: approx. 13 1/2 x 34 x 22 in. Inscription:  (On top scroll:) ALVIN. (On lower scroll:) DEC/1873/MAY 11,/1882 (On base:) ALBERS. Description:  A sculpture of a child angel facing east and seated beneath a cross on a mound of rocks. The angel wears a long sleeveless garment and holds a scroll. The scroll rests against a rough wooden cross with a garland of flowers. At the angel's feet is another scroll amongst some leaves. The monument is decorated with ivy and lilies. On the sides of the tiered base are decorative curved scroll supports.
