    Description: 
    Relief mural depicting important achievements in veterinary medicine. From the viewer's left, the figures represent research on hoof-and-mouth cattle disease (two men opening the mouth of a calf); producing human smallpox vaccine (two men operating on a calf); developing human diphtheria vaccine and anti-tetanus serum (two men with horse); cholera vaccination for food producing animals (two men giving a hog a shot); and developing rabies vaccine (three men operating on a sheep).

    The sculpture was formerly installed in the courtyard of the old Veterinary Quadrangle (now the College of Education) in 1938. It was moved to the present College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976.
