From the viewer's left, the figures represent research on hoof-and-mouth cattle disease (two men opening the mouth of a calf); producing human smallpox vaccine (two men operating on a calf); developing human diphtheria vaccine and anti-tetanus serum (two men with horse); cholera vaccination for food producing animals (two men giving a hog a shot); and developing rabies vaccine (three men operating on a sheep).
