Description:
Interior scene of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, looking from the second floor gallery across to an orchestra playing on the opposite side of the center atrium. In the foreground, there are figures seated in the audience and standing in the aisle. In the background, framed by the Academy's Islamic-style arches, are audience members seated facing the orchestra, and below them, others are seated on the stairs leading to the second floor area where the orchestra plays.
