    Description: 
    Three companion reliefs depicting the founding fathers of Colorado Springs are each mounted upon a rectangular granite slab and attached to a marble-paneled wall on the side of a building. On the upper right of the wall is mining tycoon, Winfield Stratton, standing with a shovel in his proper left hand and a pickax over his proper right shoulder. Behind him on his proper right is mining scaffolding. On the lower left of the wall is railroad builder, William Jackson Palmer, standing with his proper left arm resting on his hip. An 1870s steam engine is behind him to his proper right. On the lower right of the wall is Spencer Penrose, a city visionary, holding a plat map at chest height. Behind him to his proper left is the Will Rogers Shrine which he built.
