    Remarks:
The Grotto is staffed by the Order of the Servants of Mary. It was founded in 1924 by Servite Friar Ambrose Mayer, who envisioned a place of retreat for experiencing the presence of God in nature. The sculptures were added at later various times. Because of the statues' inaccessible locations, their condition could not be fully assessed. IAS files include a pamphlet and brochure drafts from the Grotto.
