    Description: 
    A bust of Lieutenant General Hubert Reilly Harmon in military uniform, wearing a Chief of Staff's hat, a tie, and a lapelled jacket. On the upper front of his hat is the Air Force insignia, and on his shoulder straps are stars. The uniform ends below the shoulders, and beneath it, around the bust, are other images, including: on the front, under the proper left shoulder is the USAF Academy Cadet Chapel. On the side, under the proper left shoulder is a statue with an eagle and a fledgling. Under the proper right shoulder is Falcon Stadium and mountains. On the front proper right is perhaps an F-10 Super Sabre jet. On the front, under the proper right shoulder is a waist-length figure of a man in uniform, perhaps Lieutenant General Harmon, wearing a visored cap and saluting with his proper right hand. The bust is mounted upon a base with plaques on the front, with a sloped, lower front section.

    Remarks: 
    Commemorates Lieutenant General Hubert Reilly Harmon, first superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy from 1954 to 1956, for whom Harmon Hall is named. The bust was donated by the Academy's Class of 1959, the first to graduate. IAS files contain a related 1992 letter from the Air Force Academy.
