    Description: 
    A black granite sculpture in the shape of a boat, with gray incising showing scenes of George Washington's travels to his inaugural in "Elizabethtown" New Jersey in 1789. On the left is Washington in silhouette, standing before a light gray banner depicting a small horse and carriage, commemorating his ride into Elizabethtown. In the banner's background is Boxwood Hall, where he met with the Centennial Congress. At the right is Washington standing in a manned rowboat as it sails out of Elizabethport to New York. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular base. The memorial is enclosed within a metal fence.
