    Twelve panels illustrating events from Hudson County history are set in a frieze-like band in the second-floor corridor. The subjets were the Half-Moon, the first church, the first streetcar and an old windmill, the first railway, the Phoenix steamboat, the monitor Weehawken, the steamboat Clermont, the Jersey City waterfront, the New York waterfront, the first ferryboat, a modern ferryboat, and the old and new courthouses.
