    Description: 
    Waterscape of a group of sailing ships being towed up the Mississippi River from Balize toward New Orleans, the steam towboat Conqueror barely visible among the large sailing ships. Smoke from the Conqueror's two smokestacks billows out through the tall masts and flags of the sailing ships. The pilot stands on a tall ladder between the smokestacks. In the background, Balize is visible on the left and Belleville iron foundry is visible on the right.
