    Remarks: 
    The remains of the bark "Alice Reed" including a carved piece of timber with the letters A L I C E R E E D still visible were found in 1977 on the beach at Montauk, New York roughly five miles east of Amagansett. The timber was donated to the Amagansett Marine Museum in the Town of Amagansett, Long Island, New York.
