    Remarks: 
    The bas relief was copied from a Currier & Ives print and depicts a famous horse race held at Pimlico on Oct. 24, 1877. The horses depicted are: Ten Broeck, Tom Ochiltree and Parole. Jockey George Barbee sits atop Parole, the race winner. Over 20,000 attended the race and even the U.S. Congress adjourned for the day so that its members could attend the Baltimore festivities.
