    Provenance:
Gift of Feldman, Sidney M., Mr. & Mrs.,
Gift of Latterman, Earl M., Mr. & Mrs.,
    Remarks:
The sculpture was created in 1974 at a steel plant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The artist worked in the plant, controlling the forming process and supervising the lining of the Cor-Ten steel with the stainless steel so that the forms match exactly. The sculpture was first exhibited at the Everson Museum in a 1975 exhibition entitled "Lila Katzen: Sculpture and Site." It was supposed to go to the Baltimore Museum as part of the traveling exhibition, but the Everson decided they would like to keep the sculpture as it was perfect for the space in front of the museum. IAS files contain correspondence from the artist and an Everson Museum of Art press release for the 1975 exhibition.
