Inscription:  (Painted on ax blade in cursive script:) Don Rutledge (On plaque:) HIGH COUNTRY/by Don Rutledge signed Description:  Reliefs carved into a log depict images which represent the State of Montana and the Darby Community. These include an ax with a red and silver blade, a silver hard hat, a Bitterroot flower and a yellow meadowlark, the state bird.
