Inscription:  unsigned Description:  A series of black rectangular and square cage-like forms of varying heights within a semicircular fountain. Subject:  Abstract -- Geometric Allegory -- Life Allegory -- Place -- Cumberland Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Maryland -- Cumberland Fountain Sculpture Owner:  Administered by Downtown Development Commission, 35 Frederick Street, Cumberland, Maryland 21502 Located Hospitality Park, North Liberty & Baltimore Streets, Cumberland, Maryland Remarks:  Donofrio designed the fountain sculpture and surrounding park. Park renovation may have been done under the auspices of the Cumberland Urban Renewal Agency, with financial assistance through the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Carl Belt, Inc., served as general contractor. The park was dedicated in Oct. 1969. IAS files contain related newsclipping and dedication excerpt for Heritage Park, also in Cumberland.
