    Remarks:
The Sturgeon weathervane is a replica of the one that sat atop the spire of the Church of St. Anne's, the first church of Gardinerstown. The original was a present from William Gardiner as a "symbol of the Cobbosseecontee River and of the Indians who first fished its waters for cabbassa (sturgeon)." IAS files contain a related excerpt from Evelyn L. Gilmore's "History of Christ Church."
