Description:  A pair of organically formed sculptures are shaped roughly like inverted triangles. One piece is two feet taller. Their swirling appearance earned them the nicknames "Fred & Ginger." Subject:  Abstract -- Geometric Allegory -- Other -- Astaire, Fred Allegory -- Other -- Rogers, Ginger Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- New York -- Rochester Sculpture Owner:  Administered by City of Rochester, Maps and Surveys, 30 Church Street, Rochester, New York 14613 Located Metro Center Parking Garage, Main & Scio Streets, Rochester, New York Remarks:  Commissioned by the City of Rochester for $25,000 and placed at the Metro Center Parking Garage at the suggestion of the director of the Eastman School, in an effort to renew the downtown area around the school. The original designs called for a 44 foot wall to be placed on a walkway inside the garage; but the design was altered when the decision was made to install the sculpture outdoors.
