    Description: 
    A fountain sculpture of two Victorian-era women taking a stroll with a young girl and boy. The figures are loosely modeled and have a green-brown patina. The sculpture is installed on a circular granite base in the center of a circular granite fountain basin.

    Remarks: 
    The fountain was installed as part of a renovation project for Worcester Square which was redesigned to reflect the neighborhood's Victorian character. The inscription on a plaque attached to the fence around the park reads: FOR THE ADORNMENT AND BENEFIT OF BOSTON/B/Partial funding for the restoration of Worcester Square/was provided in 1990 by a grant from the Edward/Ingersoll Browne Trust fund, a private fund/administered by the City of Boston./Worcester Square is part of the South End Landmark District.
    IAS files contain a clipping from the South End News (Boston, MA), May 10, 1990, pg. 7, 1990; and a preliminary site plan and cost estimates for the Worcester Square project. For additional information see the files of the Ingersoll Browne Trust fund.
