Six figures of prominent American Presbyterians.

Witherspoon Building, Broad & Juniper streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

There were originally 12 figures on the seventh story of the Walnut Street facade of the Witherspoon building. The building housed the Presbyterian Historical Society from 1898-1967. In 1961, when the figures became a threat to the pedestrians below, they were removed. Under the city's one percent fine arts program, six of the figures were relocated at the new location of the Presbyterian Historical Society on Lombard Street. (IAS 88320050-88320054 and 76007256). The other six remained behind.
