    Description:
A mustached Civil War soldier stands in uniform wearing a knee-length coat and a hat slightly askew on his head. He grasps his rifle in front of him with butt to the ground. His proper left foot is slightly forward and his proper right leg rests against a stump behind him. The sculpture is mounted on a circular base with four military medallions in bas-relief around the top. They are: crossed swords, crossed anchors, crossed rifles and crossed cannons. The shaft of the base has faint etched designs depicting the Confederate flag. The base is set on a tiered platform in the middle of a circular pool. Flanking the sculpture on the platform are cannons from which water flows into the pool. The entire fountain is encircled by a fence.
