Description:
Two anatomically-correct lions, with manes and slightly opened mouths, on either side of entrance-way stairs. Each lion sits atop a rectangular base. The lion on the proper right has a plaque on the front of its base.

Remarks:
The lions were created for the new residence of John W. White, owner of the Dardanelle and Russellville Railway Company. His "West Main" mansion was built in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Frank M. Blaisdell designed the house and planned the grounds. Contractor for the house was Olaf S. Nelson. The lions were shipped from Georgia.
