Sculpture is bust of the artist's father, Reverend Levi Warner. Born in 1810 in Kent, Connecticut, the Reverend served in several Methodist parishes in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, between 1839 and 1946. The sculpture was exhibited at the Vermont State Agricultural Fair in Rutland in September 1863 and was awarded a prize.
