SHARP OF BROOKLINE,/AND TWENTY SIX OTHERS, MEN OF THEIR COMMAND WHO FELL/NEAR THIS SPOT ON THE 18TH OF APRIL 1676 WHILE DEFENDING/THE FRONTIER SETTLEMENTS AGAINST THE ALLIED INDIAN FORCES/OF PHILIP OF POKANOKET 1852 unsigned

    Remarks: 
    This monument, which was built and installed for $1,050, was erected by the State of Massachusetts and the Town of Sudbury to commemorate those who died at Sudbury in King Philip's War. IAS files contain a copy of the Massachusetts Historical Commission Form C - Object questionnaire dated June 1995.
