    Description: 
    Union soldier of the Civil War stands in uniform at parade rest. His hands clutch the barrel of his rifle, the butt of which rests on the ground. He wears a hat, cape, coat, pants, and boots. He stands atop a multi-tiered base with inscriptions. An upper tier of the base features relief busts of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, and Philip Sheridan, and military emblems. Set behind the base are a flagpole and two cannon.
