H. 6 ft. x W. 2 ft.; Base: approx. 10 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 ft. Inscription:  (Front of base, raised:) "UNITED/WE/STAND"/ERECTED 1904/BY PATRIOTIC CITIZENS/UNDER THE AUSPICES/KINGMAN POST NO. 265-G.A.R. (Back of base:) Gettysburg/Fair Oaks/Chancellorsville (Side of base:) "From Atlanta to the Sea"/Chichamunga (sic)/Chattanooga (Other side of base:) "LET US/HAVE/PEACE"/COLD HARBOR/APPOMATTOX unsigned Description:  Union soldier of the Civil War stands in uniform at parade rest. His hands clutch the barrel of his rifle, the butt of which rests on the ground. He wears a hat, cape, coat, pants, and boots. He stands atop a multi-tiered base with inscriptions. An upper tier of the base features relief busts of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, and Philip Sheridan, and military emblems. Set behind the base are a flagpole and two cannon.
