    Remarks: 
    Dedicated during Native American Heritage Month to honor Native American veterans of World War II. The sculptor was a Manual Arts Therapist in the Rehabilitation Medicine Service at the hospital. Idea for sculpture suggested in 1979 by Richard A. Silver, then Director of the facility. Artist was assisted by other volunteers and by patients. IAS files include two newsletters which contain related articles, the University of South Florida's "USF Health Services News," Dec. 13, 1990, pg. 1 and the hospital's "Tampa Tropics," Jan. 1991, pg. 1.
