    Description: 
    A uniformed Civil War soldier stands at parade rest with both hands on the barrel of his rifle, the butt of which rests by his feet. He wears a visored cap, and a short cape over a knee-length coat. The soldier is mounted on a tall, five-tiered base, which includes text inscription and four relief busts.
