Description:  Standing figure of soldier, holding rifle with both hands in front of him. Proper right hand holds butt of gun and proper left hand holds barrel. Figure dressed in hat, shirt open at neck with sleeves rolled up, and pants tucked into leggings. Knapsack slung across proper right shoulder, canteen at proper right hip, cartridge belt at waist. Sculpture mounted on rough-textured granite base.
