    Description:
An eagle perches on a laurel wreath where it has just landed. The eagle's wings are frozen in the motion of closing to the body. The proper left wing is fully extended skyward as its head is turned to the proper left. The proper right wing is bent at the joint as if the eagle is ready to fold the wing downward. The tail feathers point out skyward under the wings. The eyes are piercing, the beak is pronounced, and the talons are spread wide, extending over the pedestal upon which the sculpture is mounted. The pedestal is sloped forward and rests atop two rectangular slabs, about five inches in height, placed together.
