    Description:
This memorial to postal workers killed on August 20, 1986 at the U.S. Post Office depicts a man and a woman in their mid-30s, dressed in casual clothes, standing next to each other holding a piece of a large ribbon. They are turned slightly toward each other and the man places his proper right arm around the waist of the woman, and the woman places her proper left arm around the waist of the man. The ribbon extends from the hands of the figures down to the base, wraps completely around the circular base, and returns to the front where it is tied in a large bow. The circular base is placed in the center of a large fountain basin with fourteen water jets, one for each of the slain postal workers.
