Howard Lovewell Cheney served as the consulting architect for the building; Louis A. Simon served as supervising architect.

SIMON/Supervising Architect/NEAL A. MELICK/Supervising Engineer/HOWARD LOVEWELL CHENEY/Consulting Architect/1939. Another nearby marker reads: UPTOWN STATION/CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. Each marker has three compass stars carved to its right.
