A sea anchor rests at an angle, partially hidden, as if embedded in a low circular base. The base is composed of fieldstones in a cement matrix. It is marked around the perimeter with fieldstones so that the shadow of the arm of the anchor doubles as a working sundial. The anchor is painted black.
