Description:
A bronze eagle with wings outspread sits atop a granite shaft. The front face of the shaft is decorated near the top with a bronze relief trophy of a crossed flag and rifle. On the proper left side of the base is a bronze relief trophy of a star; and on the proper right side is a bronze relief trophy of crossed rifles. The granite shaft ends in two steps; the outer edges of the bottom step are rough-hewn.

Remarks:
The monument was dedicated on Memorial Day, 1923. Funds for the monument, which cost $2,350, were raised by the Colonel Emery Women's Relief Corps No. 20 of Lisbon. IAS files contain copy of related article from Littleton (NH) Courier, May 31, 1923; and excerpt from David Ruell's unpublished manuscript "The Public Sculpture of New Hampshire", Concord: New Hampshire Historical Society, 1980, pg. 202.
