    Remarks: 
    The sculpture depicts the staff of Aesculapius, the Greek god of medicine. The sculpture was cast in Rome, Italy. The sculpture was originally installed as part of a fountain and tiered terrace in front of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital. The sculpture was moved to the Emergency Room entrance when the hospital, now the Tulsa Regional Hospital, expanded. The sculpture is no longer part of a fountain. IAS files contain a related article from the Tulsa World, Sept. 19, 1968 which contains a photograph of the sculpture in its original location as part of the fountain.
