Description:
An abstract, curvilinear fountain of hammered and welded bronze, brass, and stainless steel rises out of an oval pool scooped out of an inscribed piece of four-sided Connecticut golden pink granite that stands in the corner against two walls. Two fountain heads, representing the sun and stars, are located at the fountain's peak. Water spills from them, on and over cloud-like forms, and onto a larger upturned basin-shaped segment, representing the earth. Flower-like forms protrude upward, reaching heavenward. The fountain also resembles a two-masted sailing ship. A granite cross, which is part of the fountain, is imbedded in a concrete wall behind, and to the side, of the fountain and pool.

Remarks:
The fountain was conceived by the artist from the words of Psalm 19, verse 1, "The Heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth His handywork." The fountain was a gift from Henry G. and Florence E. Eisemann. The fountain was vandalized at one time and restored. IAS files contain related information from an unidentified source, circa 1960.
